A ribbon of hope

Lost love

I saw your face

for a short instant of timelessness

I felt your embrace

through my bones and my heart

But you are now gone

Your face has been hidden from my gaze

And your light has been taken away from the world

leaving behind greyness and shapelessness

My heart is mourning your loss, oh beloved

and I am withering in your absence

And yet, far away on the horizon of my dreams

I feel your presence somewhere, somehow

and beyond my despair, there still is a ribbon of hope

glittering in this world
