Your absence

Your absence

The other half of me is absent

and I am weak and tired and dispirited

and yet instead of falling prey to my despair

my hand is painting without worrying about shapes and meanings

just focusing on the colours taking life on paper

I feel a distance even with these colours that are half-dead

but I do not doubt myself, I am doing the right thing

I am doing the only thing I can do

building up my faith, cleansing my wounds

to be ready to welcome you back when you will return
