Youth Hostel contemplations

bougie

Sitting at a luminous table

listening to music

drawing or writing

I look by the window

the green waters flowing in the canal

assuming blue gray and brown colorations

The fast traveling clouds

turn in turn obscuring

and revealing the sun’s brightness

always eager to pour a shower on the passersby

drops of rain falling, dancing silently on the canal surface

The red bricks of buildings contrasting

with the hues of blues and greens

of landscape and vegetation

And the twitter of church bells

that reminds me further of where I am

My heart is gorged

with hopes and love

and my hands join together

in a silent prayer
