Flowers of tears / Fleurs de larmes

You that I saw dying

you rose

You opened an eye your gaze of gold

for a new awakening.

Your soul slipped with your tears letting flowers bloom

and you recognized me

on the verge of death, on the verge of life, you left your body

Flying, floating freely, your soul made of so fluid a matter

Your motion a dance, a respiration.

My wound opens, my flower blooms

Poème en français écrit par Chantal Peguiron (version originale)

Toi que j’ai vu mourir

tu t’es levé

Tu as ouvert un oeil ton regard devenu d’or,

pour un nouvel éveil.

Ton âme a glissé avec tes larmes laissant les fleures s’épanouir,

tu m’as reconnue

au bord de la mort et, au bord de la vie, tu t’es détaché de ton corps.

Volant, flottant libre, ton corps faite d’une matière si fluide.

Ses mouvements dansant respirant.

Ma blessure qui s’ouvre, ma fleur qui s’épanouit

Poem and watercolor painting by Chantal Peguiron

Translation from French to English by myself
