The key of the puzzle

the colors behind the closed garden

An ancient wise woman once told me

I oughtn’t leave any white in my watercolors

and that my paintings symbolized the puzzle

we were coming closer to complete

Each painting, each drawing

hides a poem, a story

and is a little piece of the puzzle

on the path to wholeness and enlightenment

Put together

all these little fragments of moonstone magically assemble

to form a key

the key opening one of the gates to Hazen

“The colors behind the closed garden” is a watercolor I painted
