Islands

Desert islands

The islands were desert and peaceful

And the wind blew freely among the blades of grass

And the sky was clear and light

Thriving island

One day civilization appeared, awareness spread

Temples were built and destroyed as seasons passed

Gaps were bridged, seas and skies were colonized

The harmony that existed in times of yore was gone

Instead tension had started accumulating everywhere

There were many colors, many shapes

the wrong shapes, the wrong colors

Everything screamed of disharmony

Of impending disaster

Of a brewing storm in the heaviness of the sky
