Vanishing wisdom

Frozen feet under dried torrent

Each day that passes is like a new life I live

I accumulate knowledge and wisdom

That seems to be lost in the next morning haze

How to stop wisdom from vanishing

How to wake up in the morning feeling whole and renewed

Yet with the same clearness of mind I had at night just before sleeping

The node lies in mastering my mind, my instincts

In bringing my shadows and my fears to light

In learning to live through the lens of my gifts

There’s a balance to find

Combining writing and drawing in a clever way

Alternating between my art and other mundane activities

Seeing other people and taking care of my own body

Eating and sleeping well, exercising, taking long walks

All things that are truly important

To help me carve down my place in this world

Or perhaps being tightened to a piece of rock is not the right metaphor

No, what I want is finding true, inner freedom

Becoming free of being who I truly am

And doing what I truly love

“Frozen feet under dried torrent” is an oil painting by Chantal Peguiron
