The dream of a god

the dream of a god

I dreamt that I was a god

I could fly over the ocean

And plant the seed of my dreams

A tiny island sprouted where I decided

And I hid a tree seed under its warm sand

Praying the sea not to take it away before the tree was strong enough to hold its ground

And when I went to sleep and came back two days later

I found out two mighty trees where I had left nothing but a single seed

Mighty trees throwing their large roots in the soil

And holding it against the melting power of the waves

The twin trees greeted me with joy

And they invited me to take shelter under their shade from the warmth of the morning sun

And once I had chosen a bulky, cushioned root where to sit

In unison, as though they were only one, they asked me to look beyond

Look and see the fruit of our creation, they exclaimed with pride

You left us naked in the sand, bathing in a breath of love

And we took a full day to grow to our height

And on the second day we started bearing that child that you see over there
